Gleams of hope

And now, when I step outside,

the cold does not feel so cold anymore

So, I look up at the snowflakes,

tiny, delicate gleams of hope

drifting down

and savor the moment for all that it is,

because snow has a strange way of

making you nostalgic

not just for what has been,

but for all that is yet to unfold
