The latest future I see

I often picture future me

I want to say

she’s drastically different 

but lately, she hasn’t been 

she scribbles little notes 

while holding onto something sweet 

and when she walks into a room 

she knows where she wants to be 

she hasn’t reached the peak 

but she’s gotten a sense of the climb 

and that is what one can define 

as something utterly divine.
